Murray State Wins College Bass Fishing on Lake Chickamauga

The 2014 Collegiate Bass Fishing Open drew to a close Saturday on Lake Chickamauga in Rhea County, and its apparent those Kentucky guys know how to wet a line!

Murray State University & Bethel University placed 1st & 2nd respectively in the two day fishing contest, the Racers nudging Bethel by only 8/10ths of a pound.

Murray topped the weigh-in with a little more than 49 pounds of catch.

Auburn, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State University teams placed 3rd, 4th, & 5th.

50 universities were represented by 139 individual fishing teams.

Tournament Director Anthony Wright says they're already planning next year's open in Dayton.
