ASHEVILLE, NC--(  The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will take on three-seed Davidson Monday at 5 p.m. in the final of the Southern Conference Tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center in Downtown Asheville. The Wildcats held off No. 7 seed Davidson 74-67 in their semifinal game. Davidson is 16-15 overall and finished third in league play. UTC is 28-3 with its win over Elon in the semifinal.

Davidson went 1-2 in the final three games of the season closing with a win over Wofford after falling in overtime to Appalachian State and then at Furman. The Wildcats average a 70.2 points per game and have 36.5 rebounds per game. With just eight on the roster, Laura Murray leads the team with 19.4 points per game, second in the league standings while Dakota Dukes, second on the team in scoring with 14.4 points per game, has a team-best 7.7 rebounds an outing. Hannah Early  has a team-high 63 3-pointers and is the third player averaging double figures with 13.6 points per game.

The game is set to tip off at 5 p.m.
