VINCE LENNON

Vince Lennon is WRCB Channel 3's Weekend Sports Anchor & Weekday Reporter,
returning to Chattanooga in December, 2013.

Prior to WRCB, Vince worked in Macon, Georgia where he served as Executive
Producer for WGXA, the market's FOX & ABC affiliates, managing 5 nightly
newscasts encompassing three and a half hours of daily news content.
Previous to WGXA,  Vince worked 7+ years for CNN Domestic and Headline News
as a show writer and segment producer for the likes of Kyra Phillips, Rick
Sanchez, Robin Meade & scores of others.

Vince began his television broadcast journalism career here in the Scenic
City back in 1990 at WDEF and later at WTVC before leaving in 1994 to become
the Sports Director at Montgomery's ABC affiliate, WHOA.

It was there Vince earned his chops covering the big time collegiate
athletics of Auburn, Alabama, Alabama State, Tuskegee & Troy State
University. He was there when Alcorn State's QB Steve McNair shredded CFB's
single game passing yardage record as well as Grambling's late legendary
coach Eddie Robinson's final game at Montgomery's Cramton Bowl. In 1996,
Vince also was chosen to serve on The Blue/Gray All Star Football Classic's
Hall Of Fame Selection Committee and induction ceremony.

In 1998, Vince joined KDAF in Dallas as a Sports Reporter/Anchor, covering
the pros such as the NFL's Cowboys, the NBA's Mavs, MLB's Texas Rangers, and
of course, high school football. But if you ask him of his most memorable
moment in Dallas, he'll tell you it was the Stars 1999 Stanley Cup win and
co-anchoring the city's parade celebration for the newly crowned NHL champs.

In 2000, the strong desire to come home to family prompted Vince to return
to Chattanooga and a second stint at WTVC as reporter & fill in anchor.

In 2003, Vince accepted a reporter position at Knoxville's ABC affiliate
WATE before making the move to CNN the year following.

Over 24 years, Vince has earned awards from the AP and the Society of
Professional Journalists. While At CNN, Vince was a part of two Peabody
Award winning teams distinguished for their work in the 2005 Hurricane
Katrina disaster coverage and again in 2010, for the cable network's ongoing
BP- Gulf oil spill coverage.

Vince and his wife Margie have been happily married since 2001 and have one
teenage son, Nick. They live in Meigs County along the banks of the
Tennessee River. Vince is an avid dog lover who proudly totes both of his
hounds Cowboy & Sugar as animal shelter rescue success stories.

Vince's varied hobbies include fishing, alternative music, classic
Volkswagen automobiles and golf.
