It was a full on fight in the storied squared-circle Friday night in Dalton. All for a local girl left paralyzed by a devastating wreck.
Southern style pro-wrestler Tommy Gage contacted the Locke family not long after the April crash that left their daughter Hannah in a wheelchair. She'd been an active athlete.
Her family's insurance could not cover much, leaving overwhelming unpaid medical bills. The wrestler wanted to help, so he arranged Friday night's matches at Coahulla Creek High School.
Kelvin Locke, Hannah's dad, "the support we've had from all the family and friends and the whole community. It's just been unreal and we are just thankful for that."
Proceeds from the benefit will help fund a trip to Baltimore to see doctors there, and then to Florida for a stem cell transplant.
