A cold start, low 60s later today

Posted: Updated:

Good Thursday.  It's a cold start to the day, but what a warm up we have in store!

High pressure to our southeast will pump in warm, moist air allowing temperatures to climb into the low 60s this afternoon.  Skies will be mostly sunny with some clouds moving in tonight.

Overnight, temps will remain mild with lows near 40.

A front approaching from the west will push in cloudy skies for Friday with only a slight chance for a random shower.  The high Friday will reach 62.

Saturday, the front will remain stationary to our west, and keep warm air and cloudy skies in the forecast.  The high Saturday will climb all the way to 69.  We may see a sprinkle or two Saturday, but as the front gets closer, we will increase the chance for scattered showers Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The front will move through Sunday evening.  Just ahead of it, we will see a line of heavy rain and strong storms between 3 and 6pm Sunday.

Sunday night we will clear out and cool down.  Highs next week will be in the upper 40s and low 50s.  Lows will be in the upper 20s.

For Christmas Eve, we will be sunny with a low of 29 and a high of 49.  Christmas morning you will wake up to a low of 28, and warm to 51 in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
