It was around 12:45 AM, and the calendar had just clicked over to Friday the 13th; a day employees at the Cherokee Boulevard Krystal would come to consider unlucky, to say the least. Enter: our two suspects. "They presented pistols," explained Chattanooga Police Sgt. Craig Joel, "demanded money, ordered all the employees to the ground."
Stills from the surveillance cameras show the terrifying moments. Sgt. Joel continued, "One of them held the employees at gunpoint while the second one followed the manager back into the office and demanded she open up the safe."
She smartly and quickly complied. The two men sped away in a gold-colored Nissan Altima.
It was a quick and effective hit, but it was not a perfect crime. "They left plenty of picture evidence for us," said Joel, "and they had also thrown down a beer can in the parking lot, leaving their finger prints for us to investigate."
That can all be good news for you. So, have a good look at the pictures.
The suspects are black males, both have short dreadlocks and medium builds. One was about 6' tall and on this night he wore a blue shirt and dark pants. The other is around 5'10" with shorter hair. During the robbery he wore a camouflage hoodie and a red bandana. "It's a very vague description," Joel admitted, "but, their description combined with what they did and the kind of car they left in, we feel pretty confident that there's someone out there that will be able to put two and two together and give us a tip. And that tip could lead to a reward."
Up to $1,000 is available for the right tip.
