(WRCB) - Good Tuesday. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect until 10am CST for Marion, Bledsoe, Van Buren, Sequatchie, and Jackson Counties. The biggest threat is freezing rain that could cause some light accumulations of ice on trees and power lines, and some patchy areas of ice on roadways. Temps on the plateau this morning are in the upper 20s and low 30s.
In Chattanooga and east temps are in the upper 30s and low 40s, so some wet roadways are the only issue for you this morning.
We are going to see this front moving through early on, so by the late morning, skies will be clear, and we will have some blustery north winds blowing at 10-15 mph. This will keep temps low through the day. Through the afternoon we will be in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Cold air will continue to filter in tonight. Lows will drop into the mid 20s under clear skies.
Wednesday afternoon will actually be pretty nice with sunshine and a high of 52.
The next chance of rain after today will come with widespread rain showers Saturday morning.
Sunday looks dry.
