MURPHY, NC (WRCB) -

Cherokee County sheriff's deputies arrested a fugitive from Georgia Thursday.

Officials say Sheena Dockery was wanted in Cherokee County for an incident in mid November in which she fled from her car when she was stopped for reckless driving.

While law enforcement were looking for her, they discovered she wanted in Union County, Georgia for felony parole violation.

Thursday, deputies received a tip that Dockery was in Murphy and wearing a disguise.

Deputies found her at a Murphy retail store wearing a blond wig and sunglasses. She was arrested and charged with additional misdemeanor charges.

She will be extradited to Georgia once the Cherokee County charges are satisfied.
