N2 Shoes store owner, Alison Songer, arrives early Saturday to prepare for the big rush of small business shoppers.
She's well versed in what happens when people pump money into local businesses.
"If you shop in three stores, $50 a month it will equate to billions of dollars in revenue for a city, a state. It really does make a difference," Songer says.
Her store offers an array of shoes, clothes and accessories, each of which has its own philanthropic story. "If anybody comes to me with a product that helps in some way, I can't refuse it. Its just a part of who I am," Songer says.
This year Songer hopes for big business, so far she says the holiday season has been profitable. "We really do appreciate that because without them we would not be here," Songer says.
