FBI asks for public's help in finding man suspected of child sexual abuse

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Knoxville office is seeking the public's assistance to a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child.

The images and videos of an unidentified male, named by the FBI as John Doe 27, engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child.

The images and videos were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April 2013, and according to the FBI, still being circulated in numerous child pornography forums across the internet.

Several clues which may assist with the identification of the subject:

  • The images depict a residence with a distinct plaid chair
  • Male pattern baldness is apparent on the subject, who also wore a ring on his right ring finger
  • Based on audio from the video, the subject may have referred to himself as "Jimmy," and spoke with a southern accent


The FBI states there are no details linking the subject to a particular state or location.
