Two separate fires in North Georgia ruled as arson

Investigations are underway in two North Georgia fires.

The first is in Catoosa County. Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens said a fire that destroyed a home was intentionally set.

The fire happened Monday night around 9:40 p.m. at 941 Houston Valley Road in Ringgold, and caused an estimated loss of $100,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.  Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.


And in Walker County, a fire purposely set destroyed a home on Old Trion Highway in Lafayette.  It happened around 6:00p.m. Monday.  The loss is estimated at 20-thousand dollars.
