Local leaders vote to extend health benefits to domestic partners

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

For the first time in the city's history, Chattanooga leaders will vote on a proposal to extend health benefits to domestic partners.

It's a vote, we've been following, if it passes, Chattanooga would be the third city in the state with this policy after Collegedale and Knoxville.

The measure has been widely discussed over the past several weeks, with both supporters and opponents voicing their opinions.
