Man charged in Red Bank stabbing
A man is in jail charged with attempted murder.
It happened Sunday in Red Bank. Police answered a call of a reported stabbing at 107 Goodson Avenue around 1p.m. Officers found the victim, Robert McBride, in the parking lot with what appeared to be two stab wounds in the back. McBride told police he was stabbed by Samuel Cromwell Rice, and that he does not know why he was stabbed.
Around 6:00pm, officers were called to 107 Goodson Avenue after the suspect called 911 or medical assistance. Officers found Rice with a laceration to his left hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Rice was later arrested and charged with Attempted Murder. He is being held at the Hamilton County jail on a bond of $150,000.00.
