Good Veterans Day. After a cold start this morning, we will warm nicely this afternoon into the 50s and 60s.
A cold front will be moving in over the next 36 hours. Ahead of the front, we will see clouds building tonight. We may even see a few light sprinkles early Tuesday morning. In the higher elevations, where temps tend to be about 10 degrees colder than in the valleys, we may even see a flurry or two mixed in with the sprinkles. Keep in mind, however, temps will remain above freezing Tuesday morning, and now freezing on roadways will be an issue. As a matter of fact, temps in the valley will be in the low 40s, and as cold as the low 30s in the mountains.
Through the day Tuesday, we will see our high in the low 50s early in the afternoon, then the winds will kick in from the north at 10-20 mph, causing temperatures to plummet through the afternoon and evening. By 8pm Tuesday we will already be in the upper 30s. We will continue to cool into the mid to upper 20s by Wednesday morning. It will stay cold all day Wednesday with highs only reaching the 40s.
