UPDATE: Crews respond to chemical spill at ADM Milling

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga emergency crews responded to the scene of a chemical spill in downtown.

Crews responded to the 1100 block of King Street at the ADM Milling building on a chlorine leak.

Officials say there was a small spill while employees were doing the change over on a 2000 pound chlorine tank. The vapors set off the chlorine alarm.

The building was evacuated for safety. Employees were allowed back in about an hour later.

No injuries are reported.

Chattanooga and EMS have cleared the scene.
