Neyland Stadium burglary results in arrests, additional security

KNOXVILLE (News Sentinel) -

Authorities arrested two of the three men who broke into Neyland Stadium sky boxes, causing nearly $9,500 in damage and prompting an emphasis on security at the facility.

Using fingerprints left on bottles of alcohol in sky boxes and tips to police, authorities charged two men with the Oct. 29 break-in, according to University of Tennessee Police Chief Troy Lane.

David Christopher Battaly, 23, and Chaison R. Chambers, 19, both homeless, each face two counts of burglary and one count of felony vandalism, records show. Each was being held Tuesday in a Knox County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Both men have previous arrest histories in Knox County, records show.
