A violent sex offender on the run for months is now off the streets.

32-year-old Joshua Kilgore referred to as "Cornbread" was taken into custody over the weekend.

Officials say he's been evading police on sex offender registry violations since June.

In 2008, Kilgore pleaded guilty to aggravated statutory rape of a girl more than 10 years younger than him.

He now faces addition charges including living within one thousand feet of a school.

Kilgore is expected in court next week.
