Local Anglers Help Forgotten Child Fund

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Local area fisherman will be hosting their 9th annual Forgotten Child Crappie Tournament to help the Forgotten Child Fund collect toys for families who need a little help providing Christmas to their children.

The tournament will be held at Harrison Bay State Park on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Anglers can pre-register for the tournament at Hamilton's Sport Shop on 58 Hwy November 22, 2013 from 4 – 7 pm. Registration will also be held in the upper parking lot of Harrison Bay State Park at 6:00 am the morning of the tournament.

The entry fee for the event will be $25 per boat and allow a maximum of two people per boat. Anglers will only be allowed to weigh-in a 7-fish limit per boat. There will also be an optional big fish pot which will be $5 per boat.

Organizers also ask that everyone that participates bring at least one new, unopened toy to help with donations to the Chattanooga Forgotten Child Fund.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and Double Colas will be provided by The Forgotten Child Fund immediately after the weigh in.
