East Ridge police looking for suspects who robbed person outside of bank

Posted: Updated:
EAST RIDGE, TN (WRCB) -

East Ridge Police are looking for three men accused of robbing a man outside a bank Tuesday morning.

Just before 11 a.m. East Ridge Police responded to a report of a robbery at Regions Bank located on Ringgold Road.

Police tell Channel 3 a bank patron was assaulted by pepper spray and robbed of a money bag containing $3,000 while walking to the door of the bank.

The suspect fled the scene with the bank bag in a vehicle with two additional suspects.

Police say the suspects are described as three black males traveling in a white Subaru Outback or similar styled vehicle with gold trim. The vehicle has a storage rack attached to the roof.

The victim described the suspect who pepper sprayed him and stole the money bag as a black male wearing dark clothing and a black and red ball cap.

East Ridge police say the other two suspects in the vehicle were described as a skinny black male with dreadlock hair style and a heavy set black male with a beard and shaved head wearing a blue and white T-shirt.

The suspects were last seen traveling east on Ringgold Road from the Regions bank in the white Subaru.

Anyone with any information concerning the identity of the suspects or other information regarding the incident are asked to contact the East Ridge Police Department.

This Regions Bank in East Ridge is the same bank where police are searching for a suspect in a drive-by shooting that happened just a few weeks ago.
