TBI searching for teen burglary, kidnapping and robbery suspect

NASHVILLE, TN (WRCB) -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added 19-year-old Dequan Hasani Bertrand of Davidson County to the state's Top Ten Most Wanted List.

Bertrand is wanted by the Brentwood Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on one felony count of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, one felony count of Aggravated Robbery and one felony count of Aggravated Burglary.

The TBI tells Channel 3 that on October 12 around 7:40 p.m., two male suspects forced their way into a home on Moores Lane in Brentwood where one suspect held the members of the home at gunpoint, while the other suspect ransacked the home.

Before leaving the home the suspects forced the members of the home into a bathroom.

The TBI tells Channel 3 the total of the items stolen were valued at $2,400. Upon further investigation the TBI learned the victim's credit card was used, which then led to Bertrand's identification in the case.

Bertrand is currently under investigation by the Belle Meade Police Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department for similar crimes.

Bertrand's last known address is 181 Tusculum Road in Antioch, TN. Bertrand is as an African American male with black hair and brown eyes and is 6 feet in height and weighs about 170 pounds.

Bertrand has a criminal history of theft and a juvenile arrest record.

The TBI asks that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dequan Hasani Bertrand is urged to call TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463) or the Brentwood Police Department at 615-371-0160.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
