Father and Son Team Capture CFF Classic Championship
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The father and son team of Tim and Tyler Thornbury captured the season-ending 2013 Chattanooga Fishing Forum Classic with a two-day total weight of 24.15 pounds.
Tim and Tyler ended the first day in second place, and took advantage of a good day of fishing on day two to take the win from day one leaders Derek McCullough and Tyler Elrod.
The duo also weighed in the biggest smallmouth of the tournament with a smallmouth bass weighing 4.65 pounds.
Tim said, "All of our fish we caught on the first day came on topwater baits early, but today we had to switch to jigs to catch the fish we weighed in."
The big largemouth of the tournament, a 5.17 pound beauty, was weighed in by the third place team of Derek McCullough and Tyler Elrod, while Billie Simpson and Danny Daniels captured the big spotted bass prize with a spotted bass weighing 2.41 pounds.
