Tie for low score; Zaxby's scores high
Dining out this weekend? Well the inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week reporting no failing grades among the 24 restaurants inspected
Remember, we do give the low score and unfortunately it's a tie at 78. A failing grade is anything lower than a 70. Nino's a popular restaurant on Signal Mountain and the Hardees on Lee Hwy have some work to do according to chief health inspector Jack Falcon.
We'll start up on Signal. Inspectors at Nino's found salami, sausage and ham out of temperature. Water was standing in the cooler, no paper towels or soap at kitchen hand sink, walls and floors need cleaning and repairing, also a violation because salmon when thawing out must be put under cold water not left out in the open.
Also receiving a low score of 78 is the hardees in Ooltewah. Inspectors found employees not washing hands. They were not sanitizing utensils; the ice tea machines were dirty, and the coolers need a good cleaning.
The high score is Zaxby's in Soddy Daisy with a 97, congratulations.
