UPDATE: Toddler death investigation underway

HIXSON, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and medical examiners are investigating the death of two-year-old, Colton Zachery Sherro who was found dead Thursday in Hixson.

Channel 3 talked to the boys uncle Saturday and he read to Channel 3 a prepared statement written by his grieving parents.

He said they are devastated over the tragic accident.

"We ask for privacy while our family deals with the process of trying to deal with the loss of this precious baby boy. Any family deserves that right. We ask for your prayers.  Thank you," said Lance Carter, Child's Uncle.

 


 

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a toddler.

It happened just before 2:00p.m. Thursday on Wyndsor Drive in Hixson.

When deputies arrived they found C.P.R. being performed on the two-year-old. 

The child was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
