(WRCB) - Good Wednesday.  We will give the grass seed a drink of water later today.

A classic cold front will be moving through today.  This morning, expect cloudy skies and one or two isolated showers ahead of the front.  Highs today will be in the upper 70s.

During the late afternoon and evening hours the front will begin moving over the Cumberland Plateau west of Chattanooga and will bring some heavy rain (about an inch).

As the line of rain moves down into the Tennessee Valley tonight, it will lose some strength, but still bring widespread rain showers that will give us between .25' and .50" of rain.

The rain showers will last into the overnight.

By Thursday morning, we will have mild lows in the mid 60s.  We will still have plenty of cloud cover, but only a few isolated remnant showers will remain.  Thursday afternoon we will see cooler and drier air begin to move in.  The low Thursday night will drop into the mid 40s.

Friday into the weekend we will have cool, dry weather throughout.  Highs will be in the upper 60s / low 70s with lows in the 40s.
