Gross and Milling Win October CBA Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Buddy Gross and James Milling won the James Milling Trucking October CBA Open Tournament held this week-end on Chickamauga Lake.

Gross and Milling caught a 5 bass limit weighing 25.78 lbs. to dominate the field and take the win.  For their victory, they received a check for $2000 plus $100 for being the highest finishing Tow Boat U.S. member.

Buddy said "James found them in practice and they stayed in the same area and we caught them on and off all day.  This was a very special win for me today because my dad passed away last Sunday and today was his birthday and I think this made a nice present for him".

The team of Brian Wilson and Tom Brindle won the Stealth Charger Big Fish of the Month award with a nice 7.49 lb. largemouth.

Chris Gallman won the big spotted bass award with a 1.53 lb. spot.

Tyler Bain and Larry Erwin won the big smallmouth award with a smallmouth bass weighing 5.30 lbs.

Brian Wilson and Tom Brindle won the Soddy Custom Tackle Big Bass of the Season award with a giant 12.86 lb. largemouth.

1st - Buddy Gross and James Milling, 25.78 lbs., $2000
2nd - Thomas Henshaw and Dusty Elrod, 20.73 lbs., $700
3rd - Tony Townsend and Galen James, 17.65 lbs., $550
4th - Jim McClanahan and Derek McCullough, 17.40 lbs., $450
5th - Chris Grant and Mike Looney, 15.86 lbs., $350
6th - Tyler Bain and Larry Erwin, 15.61 lbs., $300
7th - Danny Daniels and Robert Simpson, 15.49 lbs., $250
8th - Tom Kizziah Sr. and Jr., 14.64 lbs., $200
9th - Kenny Marsh and Matt Gowan, 14.29 lbs., $150This was the ninth and final regular season Chattanooga Bass Association event. 

The C.B.A. Classic meeting and dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Sportsman's Warehouse leading up to the 2013 Tow Boat U.S. Chattanooga Bass Association Classic to be held on Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd out of Chester Frost Park Boat Ramp.
