Dining out this weekend? Well the inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week reporting no failing grades among the more than 31 restaurants inspected
A failing grade is anything lower than a 70 and pardon me boys it's the historic Chattanooga Choo that falls off the track this week. The popular tourist attraction needs to pay greater attention to what's happening in the kitchen; it's not good at their garden restaurant.
According to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon, all the chicken salad had to be thrown out due to temperature violations; the ceiling, walls, and floors are filthy and need repairing; the cooks were not washing their hands; the cutting boards, microwave and coolers need a good cleaning; also, the wash and rinse water where the dishes are cleaned was dirty. Once again the Choo Choo garden restaurant scores a 70.
The high score of the week is a 97 and we say congratulations to the hard work going on at the Subway at 7026 East Brainerd Road.
