Unseasonably warm through Columbus Day

Posted: Updated:

(WRCB) - Good Thursday.  We have been spoiled rotten with our morning and evening weather, and I look for that trend to continue for a while.

Today, look for temps to climb into the upper 70s with mostly sunny skies.

The average high for today is 75.  We will stay well above that through the weekend.

Friday we will climb to about 80 degrees, and we will stay in the low 80s Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Columbus Day).

Next Tuesday, an approaching front will cause clouds to increase through the day, and we could see some rain showers moving in Tuesday night into Wednesday.  We have seen our rain surplus drop to about 14" (18" was the peak), so a little rain would not be a bad thing.

Behind that front, temps will drop into the upper 60s and low 70s for the second half of next week.
