ETOWAH, McMINN COUNTY -

An Etowah woman has been released on $10,000 bond after allegedly choking and hitting her children.  Etowah police arrested 47-year-old Rhonda Roderick, Saturday.
Roderick told officers she asked her 13-year-old daughter to clean trash off the floor, but her daughter refused.
That lead to an altercation, where Roderick allegedly put her hands around the girl's throat.
The girl told police her mother beats her if the police come, and leave.
Her 11-year old sister confirmed the story.
Roderick is charged with aggravated assault and domestic aggravated child abuse.
