East Ridge police arrest four in Rent-To-Own burglary

East Ridge Police arrested four people in connection with the Monday morning burglary of Rent-To-Own storefront located on Ringgold Road.

33-year-old William Crawley, 49-year-old Ricky Phillips, 32-year-old Bessie Eagle, and 47-year-old Susan Phillips were arrested and charged with theft over $1,000.

Investigators say the four stole electronic equipment, cash, paperwork, and a corporate credit cards during the burglary that happened around 7 Monday morning.

The credit card was reportedly used to make purchases at the Family Dollar Store on Ringgold Road. Witnesses were able to provide police with descriptions of the suspects notified police when the suspects returned to the store later in the day.

Police tracked down the suspects to a hotel room at The Knights Inn where they recovered several items connected to the Rent-To-Own burglary.

Police are continuing to investigate and additional charges may be pending
