East Ridge's Animal Services supervisor Jonathan Cooper and his wife, Sara, were in court Monday on domestic assault charges from the weekend.

Judge Gary Starnes ordered both to attend anger management classes and to provide proof they attended the course by their next court date which is December 12th.

The Coopers were arrested following an incident in the city of Chattanooga over the weekend.

They were charged with domestic assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The disorderly conduct charges will be dismissed if they complete the anger management class.

The East Ridge Police Department will conduct an investigation of the incident to determine if any city policy violations have occurred.
