Harmon and Biffle Grab Early Lead in Heartland Anglers Classic

DAYTON, TN (WRCB) - Big bucks on the line this weekend in Dayton, TN at the Heartland Anglers 2013 yearend Classic. The final weigh-in will begin at 3:00 pm. on Saturday at the Dayton boat dock.

Leading the 360 boat field at the end of day one is the team of Brad Harmon and John Biffle with five-fish limit weighing 24.70 lbs.

Big bass for the first day of fishing was caught by Brent Tharpe and Brandon Roop from Dayton TN, a giant largemouth weighing 9.95 lbs.

"Heartland Anglers is an amateur based team tournament trail designed for the everyday average angler. The Heartland Anglers team tournament is for the type of angler who gets up every day, heads to work and puts in a 40 hour work week", says Doug Pressley - Heartland Anglers President.

The winners of this event have their choice of a fully rigged bass boat and trailer or $20,000 dollars and 52,000 dollars cash spread through the top 37 places.
