CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The cross-town rivalry between Baylor and McCallie dates back more than a century. Such an intense rivalry that the schools had to cancel the annual games for stretches at a time.

On Friday morning we saw the ugly side of the rivalry once again. Vandals spray painted parts of Baylor's scoreboard and track in blue paint.

McCallie was painted on Baylor's scoreboard and "Baylor" written on the track under the scoreboard has blue lines through each letter. Authorities are actively searching for suspects.

Kickoff between the two schools is set for 7:30pm at Baylor.
