Bagley Middle School wall honors former students

Posted: Updated:
CHATSWORTH, GA (WRCB) -

Students at Bagley Middle School don't have to look very far to find inspiration.  Those who came before them in the school's 25-year history are well represented on the school's wall of fame.  Doctors, musicians, educators and others are sharing their success stories with today's students.

Some of the Bagley alums visit their old school from time to time, while others check in from far away.  New stories and photos are added regularly, giving students fresh reading material on their way to and from class.

The school's Curriculum and Instruction Facilitator, Toby Westmoreland is constantly looking for ways to convince students that they can overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams, just as many of their predecessors have done.  The fact that many of the professionals walked the same halls just a few years ago, proves his point.

The school participates in the C2G (Commitment to Graduate) national program.  In March 2014, Bagley will celebrate its 25th annniversary with a special reception, and many of the former students are expected to attend.
