UPDATE: Former East Ridge City Manager arrested in shooting

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD, TN (WRCB) Police in Springfield, TN have arrested former East Ridge City Manager Robert "Wayne" Hamill, 63, of Hixson.

Springfield Police say Hamill shot two people Wednesday night in the Oakland Farms development.

Theresa Hamill, 60, and Robert Hollway, 65, were both shot twice Wednesday night at a home in Springfield.

Investigators said windows were shot out and that they found casings all over the place.

The suspect - Hamill's ex-husband, 63-year-old Robert Hamill - was found in the home after the shooting and was arrested.

The Tennessean reports that a 59-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man had been shot multiple times in the leg and side area.

Initial reports are that Hamill used a shotgun, hitting both victims with buckshot.

Hamill has been charged with domestic aggravated assault, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the case.

The victims were transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, and expected to recover.

Hamill was booked into Robertson County Jail Thursday morning on $16,000 bond.
