Erlanger's Life Force teams go pink for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Staffers of Erlanger's Life Force air medical service are wearing pink during October to recognize all those who have been touched by breast cancer.

"We know several individuals in our 80-member staff who have had a family member or a friend affected by breast cancer," said Robbie Tester, Life Force service line administrator.  "As a program that is visible in the community providing medical services and support to the region, we wanted to show support to our colleagues who care for breast cancer patients and to those who are dear to us who have or had breast cancer."

Not only are the flight crew wearing pink, but also the maintenance crew, communication specialists in the Medical Communications Center and Life Force office staff.

Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual campaign in October to increase awareness and funding for breast cancer research and services.
