DANDRIDGE, TN (News Sentinel) -  Fourteen people remain hospitalized Thursday after a church bus headed home from a Christian festival in Gatlinburg crossed a median on Interstate 40 and collided with an SUV and tractor-trailer, killing eight.

Six of those killed were passengers on the bus, one was in a Chevy Tahoe and one was the driver of the semi truck.

The University of Tennessee Medical Center said two of the injured remain in critical condition Thursday, seven others are serious and five are stable.

Names of the dead and injured have not been released.
