UPDATE: Man shot during early morning robbery

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Emergency crews took one man to the hospital after an early morning shooting in Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Police say it happened just before 2 a.m. in the 4800 block of Jersey Pike.

The victim, 30-year-old William Jackson Jr., was walking in the parking lot with a woman when two suspects robbed them of cash and jewelry.

They shot Jackson in the leg and fled the scene.

He was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The suspects are two black males. One is about six feet and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a camouflage jacket, and a camouflage ski mask. The other was about 5'10" and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

The investigation is ongoing.
