Federal grand jury indicts Cleveland, Tenn., doctor on fraud and money laundering

A federal grand jury indicted a Cleveland, Tenn., doctor this week on charges that he he ripped off the Medicare system to get about $7.5 million.

Dr. Raymond Sean Brown, 44, bought 254 vials of Botox between 2008 and 2012. But, according to the indictment, he billed Medicare for 17,766 vials.

In all, the grand jury indicted Brown on 35 counts. This includes charges of wire fraud, mail fraud, healthcare fraud and money laundering. Brown is next scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan Lee for arraignment on Oct. 1.
