KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Bill Myers is resigning as Tennessee's senior associate athletic director for business operations and the athletic department's chief financial officer.
Tennessee athletic department spokesman Jimmy Stanton confirmed Myers' departure on Thursday. The resignation was first reported by the Knoxville News Sentinel.
In a letter of resignation he sent to athletic director Dave Hart last week, Myers said he was leaving "due to health issues aggravated by work-related stress." The letter says his resignation will take effect Tuesday.
Myers is responsible for athletic business operations that include budgeting, personnel management, financial forecasting, purchasing, capital expense planning and risk management. He also manages audits for the department, oversaw the department's office of information technology and has oversight for athletic concessions operations.
Myers began working for Tennessee's athletic department in July 1998.
