The official portrait was unveiled Wednesday for retired Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge Ron Durby, who stepped down last October.  Durby, a former University of Alabama national championship player from Bear Bryant's 1960s teams, served almost 20 years, and was succeeded by Judge Lila Statom.

Fellow judges and local attorneys honored Durby and his family at the Courts Building on Wednesday, and with a reception at One North Shore.

Durby says he's enjoying retirement by fishing, golfing, watching football and volunteering.
