Bradley County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help finding rape suspect

BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

Bradley County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help in uncovering information about the suspect who broke into a woman's home on Wilkinson Road September 14 and sexually assaulted a woman.

The victim awoke when she heard a noise in another room and was attacked by the male suspect.

The suspect is described the male as white, approximately six foot to six- foot –four-inches tall, with a slender build and broad shoulders.

He was wearing dark colored clothing and his face was obstructed from view.

BCSO's Capt. Shoemaker said the victim resisted the attacker, and managed to inflict noticeable injuries to the suspect with bite marks and scratches.

"The suspect's DNA was collected from the scene of the crime and has been submitted to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis," Shoemaker said.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailant. Contact the criminal investigations tip line at 423-728-7336
