ST. CHARLES, MO (KSDK) -- Charges have been filed against a St. Charles, Missouri man accused of shooting a neighbor's car after his home was toilet papered by teens from a local high school.

Daniel W. Beauchamp is charged with three counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

Police say that shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday Beauchamp's wife told him she heard voices outside their home. When she looked outside, she saw several teens with toilet paper in their yard.

Police say Beauchamp grabbed a shotgun and went outside, pointed the gun at the teens' car, but did not fire.

At the same time, a 61-year-old neighbor, her 64-year-old sister, and 26-year-old foreign exchange student were coming home when they saw Beauchamp standing in the street. They said he was waving his arms, trying to get her to stop. She said when she saw the gun, she tried to drive around him.

The woman told officers Beauchamp hit her car with his hand, yelled, and as she went around him she heard a loud "pop." The woman drove into her garage, and noticed her left front tire had been shot with a round fired from the shotgun.
