Marion County Park, Nick-A-jack Lake (WRCB) - The Grundy County team of Kyle Palmer and Kyle Ingleburger topped the field to win this high school event with 12.47 lbs. Big bass of the tournament was caught by Grundy County's Palmer, a nice 5.57 lb. largemouth.

This high school bass tournament was held at Nick-a-Jack Lake, Saturday Sept. 21st at Marion County boat ramp. There were 24 teams representing 4 different area high schools that competed in this event.

High School Bass Fishing Teams are being started all across the United States advancing the sport of bass fishing all the way to a high school national championship.  The teams compete for their share of available scholarship money made available by the FLW Student Bass Angler Federation, which sanctions the high school teams.

In our area, there are several high schools that already have teams.  These include Soddy Daisy, Rhea County, Grundy County, and Silverdale Baptist Academy, Chattanooga Central and North Hamilton.
