The Executive Director of the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area is off the job tonight.

Channel 3 has confirmed Jennifer McGlohon was relieved of her duties and placed on an un-paid administrative leave earlier this month.

"She is taking a leave of absence," confirmed Suzanne Hemphill, who was recently elected as the executive board's president. "We are really not at liberty to talk about it at this point."

McGlohon was not in attendance for one of the organization's largest fundraising events last weekend.

Attorney Jonathan Turner, who is representing the foundation and board, says she was placed on administrative leave weeks before the event.

Turner would not say what led to the leave, only that more information will be released soon.

"For the time being Ms. McGlohon is on a leave of absence," Turner told Channel 3. "There is an internal investigation ongoing and this point there is no results to report."

"The board of the kidney foundation remains committed to basic care and that's our focus," he added.

Channel 3's calls to McGlohon for comment have not been returned.

The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area is a local non-profit organization that provides help and information to those afflicted by kidney disease. The group just hosted it's annual Dare to Dance event, which raised nearly $70,000 for local patients.

Channel 3 has participated and supported the group's Dare to Dance event in years past.

For the third straight year, Hamilton County School Board members have given their Superintendent an "above average" report card. According to scores released by Board Chairman Mike Evatt, Smith ranks highly for his choice of attire, his personal ethics, and communicating with his staff and the public.
