Woman arrested for planning robbery

Posted: Updated:

A Red Bank woman is facing charges, after police say she orchestrated the home invasion that ended with a man being robbed and beaten.

Police say evidence left at the scene helped them identify the woman, who is no stranger to investigators.

It was on Briana Way, where police say Crystal Brewer set up the robbery that left one man badly beaten.

According to court records, the victim told police he was drinking wine with Brewer in his dining room when she opened the door for three armed men.

One of the men held him at gunpoint, while the other two robbed him.

They took a safe from his bedroom, $1,300 dollars in cash, and two cell phones.

Before leaving they hit the victim several times in the face.

Finger prints left on the wine bottles Brewer was drinking from led police to her Red Bank address.

Brewer, who has been arrested before, is what Red Bank Police call a frequent flyer.

She heads to trial next month on a list of forgery and identity theft charges.

For now, she's in the Hamilton County Jail, being held on a $45,000 bond.

Police have not said if they've been able to identify the three male suspects.

Brewer heads to court in this case next week.
