The City of Chattanooga announced Tuesday afternoon that the Delta Queen will stay at Coolidge Park.

The city reached an agreement with Xanterra Cruises LLC to make rental payments of $1,500 to the city.

A news release issued by the city stated:

"Due to the delinquent nature of past payments, this new agreement between Xanterra and the City is conditioned on all payments being made on time each month."

The floating paddlewheel hotel sits on the north side of the Tennessee River near one of the city's more popular parks.

The Queen, along with a nearby barge, were targeted by Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke as eyesores to the city's shoreline.
