BBQ City faces a pesky problem; Jimmy John's and Campus Kitchen score high

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a successful week with no failing grades at the 14 restaurants visited.

According To Chief Inspector Jack Falcon, their team is still visiting private and public schools looking at everything from the playground to the cafeteria and each classroom.

Now our low score of the week involves BBQ City at 4848 Hixson Pike. Remember, a failing grade is anything lower than a 70.

This location got an 85 and here's why: according to inspectors, there were flies in the kitchen, the microwave needs replacing and food was improperly stored.

The high score of the week is a tie: the new Jimmy John's on Hixson Pike and Campus Kitchen in Collegedale.  Both score a 96. Keep up the hard work!

Don't forget if you have a complaint about a restaurant call the Hamilton County Health Department at (423) 209-8110.

Also, I'm getting a lot of emails sent to me to about restaurant concerns. I will forward those comments immediately to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon who acts on your concerns immediately.

Enjoy your meal!
