CHATTANOOGA, TN - School students in Athens, Tenn., soon will have a safer walk to school because of a state grant.

Gov. Bill Haslam this morning announced that the city of Athens will receive $170,446 from the Safe Routes to School program for kindergarten through eighth grade.
