Good Wednesday. You will notice it the second you step out the door this morning. The humidity is here!
Hot, muggy weather will be with us through Labor Day and beyond. The average high is 88. Today we will climb to 92 in Chattanooga. Factor in the humidity, and we will feel like 95-98. No rain is in the forecast today.
Dew points were in the low to mid 60s yesterday. They will be climbing into the low 70s today. That means a lot more moisture in the air, and a lot less comfort.
Thursday and Friday we will heat up even more with highs in the mid 90s. One or two thunderstorms could pop up both days during the afternoon.
For the weekend, a trough of low pressure to our east will back into the area, and increase our chance for showers or storms to about 50% through both days. We will also see weekend highs climbing into the low to mid 90s.
Labor Day will see about the same... Highs in the low 90s, and an isolated storm or two possible through the day.
We COULD see some much cooler and drier air settling in by the middle of next week. Stay tuned. David Karnes
