Bates murder trial set for Tuesday

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

Jury selection begins Tuesday in the murder trial of Natasha Bates.

Bates is charged with two counts of felony murder and aggravated child neglect after her two young boys, 3-year-old River and 5-year-old Leland died of hyperthermia in June 2012.

Bates initially reported a drowning and drove the boys to her father's house a couple miles away.

But investigators now believe the boys were inside her car for a period of time.

Eyewitness News Anchor Jonquil Newland will be following the trial.  You can follow her on Twitter @jonquilnewland3.  We'll also have the latest information on air and online as it becomes available.
